Our African leaders have forgotten the importance of land, that is the reason that they talk about freedom without the restoration of the land .To most of them once they are in government they call that freedom. Our forefathers were much concerned about land better than anything because they knew that without land you are nothing as they knew that everything comes from the land..In South Africa they claim that in 1994 black people received independent yet their land is still not free from colonial masters. All most 80% of South African land is still in the hand s of colonial masters and that is called freedom for black people. Black people in South Africa have nothing to celebrate in the new government as their land is still in the hands of the oppressors; there is still a long way to freedom. Our leaders are just excited to be in government, staying in big houses, driving big cars and staying in suburbs, and they have forgotten that freedom without the land is not freedom. Without the land the plight of black people will remain the same as it will not be possible to develop them if their land is still owned by their oppressors. Voting for people who does not know how important land is, that is just good as not voting. The only benefit for most black people is just to vote in five years, and that is not a pressing issue. We cannot fight poverty without restoring the land to real owners. Restoration of the land will be the primary thing in bringing freedom to people as they will then be free to farm,mine,raise their livestock and build their houses as they pleased. During the time of our colonial master we lost the land, and if we are given freedom our land must be given back to us. These white people are fooling us by giving us political power without our land. That is the reason that in most African countries the economy is still in the hands of the colonial masters, just as the land is still in their hands. The black people who are in government are just servants of the colonial master who are looking after the land and economy of their colonial masters that’s why they must always go overseas to report of everything and every policy they want to introduce. If a certain policy did not please their masters they always say, this policy will scare investors. They have been trained by the masters to make sure that they will be able to handle their master’s economy well.

All the riches that we see comes from the land, it can be food,clothing,houses,gold,platinum,diamond in fact all the wealthy that we so desperately desire comes from the land ,without the land one can never be wealthy. Our forefathers use to consider land as the primary need in life yet they are considered as they were uneducated. But this so called educated generation considers employment as the primary need in life. When they are employed everything is fine with them they don’t care about land. In South Africa 80% of the land is owned by Europeans yet to the black people of South Africa that is normal as long as they are employed by the Europeans. This generation claims that they are wise yet they think that employment is better than land. They can vote in numbers for someone who promise them employment and despise anyone who promises them restoration of their land. As it was the mission for the Europeans to introduce poverty in Africa they decided to take the land from Africans. Land is something to pursue more that one can pursue education because even if you are educated you will still need to live your life in the land. The worse thing that was done by the Europeans more than apartheid it was taking our forefathers land. Our forefathers were farmers working for themselves not employed by anyone to them land was everything they need to produce their own food and raise their livestock.

True black empowerment is to restore back that land that was stolen by the Europeans, without land there is no empowerment. Today you found black people who are brainwashed by the Europeans criticizing Mugabe for taking back the land that was taken by force by the Europeans from the Zimbabweans and for a black person to say such that is madness because the Europeans did not come with land from Europe. Mugabe knows that all riches come from the land without restoring the land there is no empowerment for Africans. The day African will know how important land is versus employment that will be the time of true revolution in Africa. There are no other people in the world except Black South Africans who can sit and fold their hands while 80% of their land is owned by foreigners, expecting that the foreigners will be the ones who produce food for them. To them being a farm worker is good than owning the farm yourself. We need to be able to produce food for ourselves, not allowing this Europeans to be the ones who produce everything for us and we are just buyers and workers. Africa was producing food for herself before the imperialist came to possess our land. Taking someone land is a gross human rights violation .When Mugabe is restoring his land from those human rights abuses he is then labeled by the same human rights abuses as a dictator and a human right abuser. The day Europe starts respecting human rights they will give back the land they have stolen from African and compensate for everything they have stolen from Africa.
