African Leaders. African leaders are puppets of the west they are always ruling whilst trying to please the west. It is only Mr Robert Mogabe who is able to freely speak his mind against the west. It does not matter who is in power because all of them are serving one purpose making the west rich out of African resources. When an African leader resists the western domination, they are labeled as dictators. Most of the constitutions in Africa are not African but they are European and our leader when they take an oath ,they promise to be faithful to those constitutions ,that means they promised to be faithful to European systems. In South Africa one will always hear political organizations who are dominantly white saying let’s protect our constitution because to them to protect the constitution is to protect their dominance and wealthy as that constitution is not African but European. Some of the decisions that are taken by the government are challenged by the opposition party using their euro-centric constitution to win those cases .African values were not considered when formulating those constitutions, even the very same laws are most originating from Roman Dutch laws. African leader are using such constitutions to lead their countries and that makes it difficult for them to bring any changes in the favour of Africans. Most of these leaders are just like actors, they are acting as presidents of their countries because they cannot be able to take crucially decisions which will not be infavour of Europe but Africans, the script write in these acting is Europe .
The african leader are just in power to look after the interest of the west, that is why everything they do they think about the so called investors. We are normal important to our leaders when it is time for elections then every political party become pro-poor peoples party. After Elections they become concerned about the interest of the west.
When we vote for them they promise us so much, but once they are in power they are not able to deliver as they will be binded by those European constitutions. African leaders are not even proud to dress in their traditional attires and speak their languages they always try to speak those European languages even if they are not fluent in those languages undermining their own languages. They try very hard to be Europeans themselves in everything and to get praises from Europe as good leaders at the detriment of their fellow Africans.President Mugabe once said they will praise and love u if you do what pleases them and you are dancing to their tune as most of our African leaders. They spent a lot of money going to Europe to copy the European styles of leadership forgetting that African problems are not the same as European problems they will need African approach not euro-centric approach. Most of our leader cannot think and come with ideas that can help to grow their countries they are always holding on to what they have been taught by their colonizers they even proudly classified themselves with their colonizers languages some says we are English speaking ,some says we are French speaking and other we are Portuguese speaking whiles undermining their own languages. When will African leaders be proud of their languages and culture.
It is a grave mistake to be taught by our enemies, imagine if a cat could teach a mouse nothing but to stop running so fast so it can be easy for it to catch it for a meal. It is the same with us (Africans), we have been miseducated to think of the European science as a way to a better life and development. All the African leaders who have been taught by their colonial masters are short sighted to realize that it wont benefit them or their people, because it was not meant to empower us but to weaken us socially, politically ans spiritually. As any thinking man will tell you, true education begins at home. If we (Africans) can remember everything that we were taught by our parents and live according to those values and principles, we will be on the right direction towards an African ENLIGHTENMENT. We need to go back to our roots, and practice our OWN way of life from A to Z. The present education is nothing but a political tool that continues to enslave us to the interests of our colonial masters. It is an insult to think that our ancestors, even our grandparents and parents are lacking a scientific knowledge beyond the superstitions written in the colonial history books. We need man and women educated in the norms and values of our ancestors to teach our youth the importance of honoring our forefathers. If we do not teach the African youth our culture will one day remain in a museum. I now live to the best of my knowledge according to the principles taught by my grandparents. It is a grave mistake to assume that if something is old then we must throw it away, many of our youth including our living elders have forgot that we ( Africans)honor and respect the traditions handed to us by our parents and grandparents. Those who think that our (African) traditions are not good enough for the modern democratic society are in error, nature teaches us that it is absolutely foolish to throw away anything just because it is old. I should tech those of our African brothers and sisters who subscribe to modernity that old does not mean bad, therefore let us not despise our parents' teachings especially our culture just because you want to impress your "white" counterparts. To our youth, education will never make you "white", no matter how British your accent can be you are still an African, it is not a sin nor a crime to be African (politically called black). We need to be proud of our natural mind and be innovative within that framework without trying to change ourselves.
We need independent thinkers (lateral thinkers) not these leaders who are logical thinkers always following Europeans ideas without coming with their own ideas.Today we have a challenge of poverty and most of our leaders are waiting for the Europe to come and help their countries, yet Europe is also interested in furthering their own interest and gains out of Africa. When we have problems as Africans we need to take ownership of our lives and try to come with solutions without waiting for answers from Europe, even the pandemic of aids needs visionary leaders who will not wait for cure from Europe but will do their own research based from African medicine to find the solution. The problem with aids is that Europe has said there is no cure for aids and when Europe has spoken that is thus says the Lord to Africans they need to just listen without questioning,Africans believe everything that Europe says, they take Europeans as if they are Gods for Africans. That is why even today most Africans believe that the bible is the word of God yet it is the word of Europeans. And we will wait for them till they say now there is cure when they have achieve their goal, instead of doing our own research on the disease using our own forefathers knowledge.Africans are capable of coming with the cure for aids, but it’s just that they undermine themselves and wait for their colonizers to say now we can heal the disease yet these disease is not troubling Europe but Africa. Our leaders need to stop reading that acting script which is written by Europe and became real leaders who will come with solutions to African problems without waiting for European solutions which benefits Europe and loot Africa. They need to be bold enough to confront Europe, when Europe is imposing Europeans systems and values in Africa.YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN AFRICA NO ONE WILL HELP YOUR BUT YOURSELF.
